IAB, the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PwC together released the Internet Advertising Revenue Report for the first six months of year 2010 and results are very promising.
In the USA, Internet Advertising brought home $12.1 Billion setting a new record for the first half year. The increase from 2009 is 13.9.

Next segment was the banner ads, rich media, digital video and sponsorships—totaled more than $4.4 billion in the first six months of 2010, close to 16 percent increase over the last year.
But the fastest gowing segment is the digital video as it continues to experience record growth, this year achieving the highest half-year performance ever and up 31 percent over first half 2009.

Product Search Brings Tools Like Google Shopper 1.3, Aisles To Make Holiday Shopping Much Easier.
If you are like me or the most of the people, like the author of the post referred below, like to use multiple ways of shopping to accomplish the task of filling the socks.
I am of course a guy who would like to see touch and play with most of the things I buy. That does not mean I do not buy online. I do buy online, products that does not require touching and feeling. Even some of the products that needs the touch, sometimes I buy online, of course after touching and feeling it at a store. Providing there is big gap in the price. I like to keep my local shops alive!
Talking about local shopping, one thing that Google Product Search provide is the Local availability on Google Product Search. It is one of the ways to keep your local shops alive as it provides information on product availability, prices etc.
If you are a retailer, you too can join the effort after learning the ropes at Google Retail Blog.
Google also providing ways to take shopping mobile! You know the old way but with much more information at your hand, so to say. Google Shopper 1.3 with more than 2.5 Million downloads provides means to shoppers on the go research items and find the best place to buy them either online or in a nearby store.
Another part I really like is the “Popular products” and “aisles”, Google have brought the stores to a web page, which allows one to sail the aisles and;
"learn about and discover new products. When you search for a category of products such as “camera lenses,” our new popular products feature helps you get started by showing you the lenses other people are viewing online. “Aisles” helps you browse and discover products by organizing results into sub-categories that others have found helpful. For example, if you’re looking for a new TV, you can choose between display types like LCD and plasma. If you’re interested in camera lenses for that brand new SLR, you can shop by the aperture of the lens."

Blogger Sitemap Error Correction For Google Webmaster Tools
I had submitted a new blog on blogger.com on the Google Webmaster site. As far as blogger blog submissions go, you usually submit your RSS Feed as your site map. But there is a slight problem as all blogger feeds are burned through feedburner.com and you feed URL will be something like;
There is nothing wrong with that but Webmaster tools expect you to enter a page under your original site URL, like;
and of course I entered "rss.xml" because it is the default feed address for Blogger. But you will find an error like this;
So now what do you do, then I checked how my other blogs are submitting the sitemap! viola I have missed a bit of information, I should have submitted the information like;
Now you know, in order for Blogger feed address to work as a sitemap on Google Webmaster tools, submit the address as "/rs s.x ml? ord erb y=u pda ted"
Hope this helps, someone!

Turning Day Light Savings Into Traffic With SEO Tricks!
I am sure all of you who live in countries that practice day light savings time, had a few surprises this week. Some got up early but jumped out of bed thinking it was late, some may even have wondered why the high ways are so empty and wondering why there is no traffic, on the way to work.
But one clever site, View London, used the same opportunity to boost it's traffic by 31%, according to Hitwise. View London did some SEO tricks on the site to benefit from people seeking information on day light saving or in British terms, "Clocks go back".
Hitwise shows us that the site beat even BBC News, Facebook getting traffic, organic traffic, from searches related to "clocks Go Back".
So next time when you look to bring traffic to your site, plan ahead, create content related to an upcoming major event, and let Google think you are the authority on the subject.
You can find more data of the event on Hitwise and ways to find out how they did it by some clever surfing. One marketing man wondered even if it was clever marketing? I guess he is not clever enough to catch the gist. May be he is, to see through the London fog. But it never hurts to learn.
