Here Comes Google Admobs

Every mobile app developer, be it a corporate developer or a solo developer with a single app, looks for monetizing it once ready for launch. Yes, here comes Google Admobs (I prefer MyAdlets ;) ) providing app developers with  easy-to-use solutions to earn more from their apps. AdMob has invested in a range of tools to do this, but also make it much easier.
Here are some of the ways AdMob helps out App developers and information on some of the new aspects and addons to AdMob;

Google’s advanced monetization technology
Earlier this year we introduced Open Bidding in beta, a new monetization model where all participating ad buyers compete simultaneously in one unified auction. Developers using Open Bidding are already seeing more ad revenue and less latency for their users.
Today, we are excited to announce that the Open Bidding program now features eight advertising partners for mobile ad buying. In addition to OpenX, Index Exchange, Smaato, Tapjoy and AdColony, now Facebook Audience Network, AppLovin, and Rubicon Project are joining the ongoing beta. With these new partners, we're offering diverse sources of app advertising to compete for ad inventory in real time, driving even more revenue for app developers.
"AdColony is excited to join forces with Google to move the app monetization ecosystem forward with Open Bidding. AdMob’s scale of advertiser demand and ease of integration provides a tremendous opportunity for app developers to drive more revenue and operational efficiency.”
- David Pokress, EVP Publishing & Account Management at AdColony
We’re continuing to add new features to Open Bidding based on feedback from our beta participants, including support for all ad formats like interstitial, rewarded, banner, which are all available today, and native, which will be added soon.
In addition to asking for more formats and advertising demand, developers participating in our beta have also asked us for transparency into who is bidding on and buying their ad inventory. We’re pleased to announce that we'll be adding a new auction report that allows developers to understand how their different advertising partners are performing. Open Bidding Auction Reports will be available to beta participants early next year.

While we’re paving the way for the next era of monetization technology, we also know that waterfall mediation* isn’t going away anytime soon. That’s why we’ve built Open Bidding to work seamlessly with waterfall mediation to maximize the value of every impression and simplify operations. Beta participants have noted the compatibility as a meaningful value-add.
Get set up quickly with developer-first tools
Regardless of whether developers use waterfall mediation, Open Bidding, or both, we’re committed to delivering the best experience on our platform. We know onboarding processes can be painful and create extra work—but we’ve got a few new tools to help with that.
AdMob’s new Mediation Test Suite beta makes it easier to test if your app is set up correctly to display ads, so you don’t miss out on revenue. Now, if you hit a snag with the SDK integration, you can test each individual network and instantly identify the source of the issue (e.g. SDK, adapter, credentials, etc.)—no more blindly troubleshooting issues and searching for the source. Once everything checks out, you’ll see an ad in the testing environment to confirm that the pipes are ready.
Another new beta feature is the ability to “warm up” your SDK adapters to reduce timeouts on the first ad request. Soon, you'll be able to initialize all SDK adapters in a single call to AdMob, ensuring all adapters are ready to go when the first ad is requested.
Our goal is to make setup easier. And if you do get stuck, we have the resources and global support to help you move fast.
In addition to building better tools, we’re partnering with players across the ecosystem and moving to a more efficient model that enables developers to earn more from their apps. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements over the next few months.

Bringing Your Business Online With A Google Account.

Happy New Year Folks, We wanted to greet this new year by telling you how to bring your business online with a simple Google Account and an optional $10 bill you may find in your pocket. The $10 is optional but will give your site a legitimate domain name which will make it easier for you to take main stream once you hit big in the internet arena. Read on
If you did not know, Google provides a vast array of free products that allows one to business and to get the toes wet in the Internet before going gaga like Lady Gaga.
The most important part is to get a Google Account if you do not have one yet. Once you have that, it is your key to surf through all that Google offers free to us.
Starting with blogger.com, which you could access with your Google login will allow you to start a weblog or more commonly known as a blog, like our blog, MyADLETS, the viral frontier is known all over the world. It will help us to go main tream once we have completed our plans that we are cooking. "myadlets" is a valuable keyword in our plans. Keyword is something that you will learn, once you have setup your site.

Once you have registered your blog, in the line of mybusiness.blogspot.com, as in myadlets.blogspot.com you can start customizing your site with templates, which are available all over the web. You can also add your fellow business partners or employees as fellow bloggers (they will need to get their own Google Accounts). Once you have gotten all these detais sorted out, you can start blogging about your business.
You can create pages, one about your products enhanced with photos, drawings etc and another for your contact information and so forth. Once search engines learn about your blog and start indexing, the world wide web will learn about your site, slowly. There are other ways you can make the faster. You will learn about them as you go.
Now about that optional $10. Remember we just said about your "mybusiness.blogspot.com", now by investing $10, you will be able to purchase a domain name, "mybusiness.com", as in myadlets.com reflecting your business, provided the name is not already taken. In that case you have to get creative about the name.
Either way "mybusiness.com" will give you counless options to expand. Even in this no cost setup, you can still go further with a custom domain name. From Google it self, you will be able to get an e-mail, calendar and document system identical to the free products on the web, but which operate within your custom domain.

Online Advertising Revenues Up Despite Economic Woes.

Source: PwC/IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report (www.iab.net)

As I mentioned in a post earlier, I visit IAB Interactive Advertising Bureau, to get a part of my information. So the latest news on Internet advertising is that Spending on Internet advertising continues to climb -- year over year -- reaching $5.8 billion for the three-month period ended March 31, 2008, as visible on the above graph.
"“We continue to experience significant growth and vitality in interactive marketing, media and advertising,” said Randall Rothenberg, president and CEO of the IAB. “We expect growth to continue, as consumers spend more and more time online, and marketers find more – and more innovative – ways to reach them through digital media.” "
But it is necessary to know that the numbers dipped a little fro Q4 2007 numbers, which was 5.9 billion.

So all those money you have been making on Internet is a part of that number!. Even though the times are hard on economy all over the world, advertisers are turning to the most accessed media of the day for their advertisements, next to TV. The reach of Internet is also growing. The 'net is reaching even into the far corners of the world, villages in India. It is just not a novelty any more. The village farmers are finding the market prices of their produce and pushing middle men to share the lions share of profits with them. People are realizing the value of Internet all over the world and finding many ways to find ways to get Internet too. A village in Sri Lanka, an Island off south of India, enjoying Internet services, even before they got a single telephone line to the village, thanks to a wireless mesh system. This system is being adopted many other places all over the world.

So everyday, the 'net is becoming the mall of the world. Just like the mall advertising, shops and marketeers need to reach their share of audience and it is you who will be the middle man or middle woman. With multitude of websites and blogs, introducing the products and wares to the people and inturn driving the world market.

So be not modest, Online marketeers, publishers and advertisers you form the backbone of this ever climbing internet advertising market! So work at it and as promised, we will be bringing you every bit of information that we think is valuable.
So why not register get MyAdlets delivered!

So like you and I there are many people who are benefiting form the 'Net

Come Through The Recession Shining! For Widget Marketeers Only!

Michael Jones, the CEO of Userplane has some advise and says the ads are going in the way of Social media in times like these. He mentioned this in a guest post on TechCrunch. But I feel he is doing a bit of branding work!!
I liked the idea and it appeals, only if I was in the business of widget making. Looks more like Mr. Jones is trying get his company through recession. Not a bad idea, get your marketing plan on a social networking news hub like Techcrunch, and tell people that widgets is THE thing!
But the problem with sites like Techcrunch, people are capable of reading in between the lines. So the comments come out, at the moment is about 55! Some agreeing and some not with the widgets idea.
I think Widgets has a place and there may be others But you can always learn something ;) from people like Mr. Jones, and who knows he might like myadlets!
Alright, here is the link to the article! on TechCrunch,

MyADLETS is born!

There are almost no full page ads on the web yet. But I am sure you have noticed entry page ads on many large sites, specially if you are entering via a link to a specific page.
But almost all others are adlets, small ads displayed on prominent places on websites, blogs, email! etc.
My idea is to explore advertisements on the web via myadlets.com. This weblog will be the launching point for the site and where I will state my ideas about adlets.
Up to now, the Adlet are monsters that drink blood! But I willl declare, adlets are small ads on a web, blog site or delivered via email.
Forget the paper inserts that you referred as advertisements so far. You will get your ADs as you want them.
Await myadlets.com

Monster came from neatorama.
