Blogger And Amazon Associates Are Good Friends Now

Even though this is old news to some, since it might be useful to others, I am posting it. Blogger too showing it in the control panel now.
If you are a blogger publisher and utilizing monetizing opportunities like AdSense, AdSense for Feeds, and were eying the Amazon Associates program, you are in luck.
In addition to the AdSense options, now you can add a third option to monetize your blog further. Blogger has launched a third option: direct integration with Amazon Associates to search Amazon’s product catalog and add links to products that earn you commissions when your readers buy products you recommend.
There were some people who managed to offer Amazon products on their blogs with javascripts and a whole lot of hassle. With the new offer, you can select which products and pictures to include right from the blogger control panel. What if you do not have an Amazon Associates account? Yes that too could be created for free from within blogger.

Creative Display Ads That Work!

I was reading a post on the series of display advertising which guided reader about creative display advertising without limits. The idea;
Imagine you own a popular coffee chain in Denver that you want to promote. On Monday afternoon, it’s warm and 80 degrees in the city. You run a display ad campaign online that offers Denverites a discount coupon for an iced cold latte, with a searchable map embedded in the ad to show local branches, and a real-time feed from people who have tweeted publicly about your newest flavor. That evening, a cold front rolls over the Rockies. Your ad automatically and dynamically adjusts to present a photo of a hot, steaming cup of hot chocolate in front of a warm fireplace, together with a home delivery number and an offer of free marshmallows.
is exactly what Volvo did to promote the new XC60. Created by Euro RSCG for the new Volvo XC60 rich media ad which also offered an interactive game, photos and gallery. But the best was the incorporation of a Twitter feed from the New York Auto show in the same ad space was a new impression. According to Google, in just three days, the campaign garnered 170 million impressions, 50,000 clicks and 17,000 hours of brand engagement.
That is advertising! with vigor.

Third Party (Google-certified) Ad Networks In AdSense

AdSense announce that now publishers in North America and Europe are able to publish ads from Google-certified ad networks on their websites.
These ads will compete with AdWords ads, and will help publishers earn the most from every ad impression by increasing competition. At the same time, publishers will have full control over which ads and ad networks can appear on their pages.
